Create A Flyer

When it comes to advertising, among the most effective and cheapest methods to catch the attention of customers is through posting and giving out flyers. Whether you are opening your new business or selling some items or giving some discounts on your commodities, creating a flyer to attract customers is a wise decision.

It isn’t necessary for someone to be a professional designer to create an attention-grabbing and attractive flyer. Creating a flyer is pretty simple and it is also cost efficient and highly effective in attracting prospective customers to your business.

Things Needed

  • Paper
  • Any program used for layout and design

Steps to Create a Flyer

1. Decide first what paper color you would like to use for the flyer. Whether it’s yellow, white, pink, or any other color, it is all up to you. Also, decide how many pieces of flyers you would like to print. It doesn’t matter if it’s thousands or hundreds, just ensure that the cost is within your allotted budget for the project.

2. Compose an attention-grabbing headline since you will be using this as your one and only attempt to capture the attention of your prospective customers. In creating a flyer, summarize your product using few but powerful and persuasive words.

3. Only add graphics to a  flyer when it is really necessary. For example, if your nightclub business is having its first opening, then adding in a graphic of some hip building would be good. Or if you want to avoid expensive printing costs then using plain text on the flyer is a money saver.

4. You must be straight to the point in creating a flyer because there is not much paper space for wordy statements. There should be just the right amount of  inf

ormation printed to get your prospective customers to your door.

5. If you are giving some discounts, then let your prospective customers know about it. Include a coupon in the flyer to make them come to your doors.

6. Then it’s time to go to the printer and make copies of your flyer.

Tips for Creating a Flyer

- Don’t worry if the body of your flyer is not filled with text. It is better to have white spaces in your flyer for prospective customers to see what your product really is without having to look long into a maze of words.

- Before you begin creating a flyer, confirm first if there are no city regulations that prohibit giving out flyers on the street or posting them in specific places.

- If you are targeting a specific group of prospective customers, then printing a colored flyer is a good thing. However, if this is not really necessary, you will just be misusing your money in colored flyers when in fact you can print more pieces for plain black and white flyers.
